Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, delivers the main address at the launch of the 2025 staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show held on the Lawns of Hi-Pro in White Marl, St. Catherine, on Wednesday (June 18). The three-day event, under the theme ‘A New Era: Overcoming Challenges, Building Resilience, Securing Our Future’, will be held from August 1-3 at the Denbigh Showground in May Pen, Clarendon.

Farmers Must Be Front and Centre at Denbigh 71 – Minister Green

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, has charged Denbigh organisers to ensure that farmers are “front and centre” at this year’s staging of the annual agricultural, industrial and food show, with activities that cater to their development.

‘Denbigh 71’ will be held from August 1 to 3 at the Denbigh Showground in May Pen, Clarendon.

Facilities at Black River Fishing Beach Upgraded

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining, Hon. Floyd Green, on Wednesday (June 18), officially opened the $3-million gear shed and bathroom facilities at the Black River Fishing Beach in St. Elizabeth.

The National Fisheries Authority (NFA) spearheaded the initiative that forms part of a broader national initiative to rehabilitate fishing beaches and enhance the livelihoods of Jamaica’s fisherfolk.

The renovations included repairs to the gear shed, the bathroom facilities, improvements to the sewer lines and sewerage system, and the installation of solar-powered lighting...
