Gillian Rowland (left), Vice-President of the International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT) Caribbean, presents compact disc of conference presentations to the Hon Audley Shaw, Minister of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries, at the International Community Tourism Conference on November 13 at the University of the West Indies in St. St. Andrew. Others from left are Diana McIntyre-Pike, President/Founder Countrystyle Villages as Businesses and IIPT Caribbean President, and Dr. Louis D’Amore, International Institute for Peace through Tourism Founder. Minister Shaw encouraged the participants, representing Jamaican and Caribbean community tourism groups, not to see Airbnb as a competitor to community tourism but rather embrace it and use it as a platform to reach the world.
